Hi,

I have downloaded Nav 2016 under MSDN license. While working on Codeunit, i was getting Permission denied. I don't know what was happening, so after checking the license I found that the license is for Demonstration Basic Granule. Below is the License:

Name                                                                  Amount

----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------

450 Full Concurrent CAL                                                    2

540 Demonstration Basic Granule                                            1

Country Code: W1

I checked the forum and mostly it says that I need to download the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 with a developer license. I check the MSDN site, but I could not find any such license, all I am getting is Demo license.

Please help and thanks in advance.

You need to be working for a Partner company to download the License.

Please check with your company if they are partners.

In order to get Developer's license, you need either to work for a Partner who has it, or fir a Client who purchased it. You can in theory also purchase that, but the price of Developer's license is around 25k usd depending on the country. You will not be able to develop with a Demo license. Please note that MSDN demo license has a bit more functions than just demo license:

MSDN license is just a demo license. You can "use" de full product, but not develop or change anything. You should become a partner or work for a partner in order to get the development license (other options, like purchase a development license at 25K... you know :-S).

The MSDN license is NOT a full developer license, it is in essence a training license. It can be used to test and train principles of Navision, but can not be used to develop enduser deploy-able code that you can sell.
