How to keep customers' data up-to-date / automatically updated?

Dear all,

I believe updating accounts'/contacts' info is essential to the company. I would like to learn what are the possibilities that I can keep my data updated. The ideal one will be giving my contacts a link that they could fill out their updated info( new address, new job title etc. ) and then the system will be able to refresh their info automatically.

    Hi Partner,

    You can easily get the information from the customer and easily update the record automatically, but it is difficult to map the information what you get to the individual fields of the record correctly.

    Maybe you can know about 'marketing form'.

    A marketing form defines a set of input fields arranged into a form layout. 

    Each field included in your form must be set up in Dynamics 365 Marketing as a marketing form field, which establishes options for how that field is presented in forms where it appears, and which lead or contact fields it maps to in the database.

    Hi,

    Other option is to create web pages in Power apps portal. Add you contact fields which you want your customer to update on the form and expose this on Power apps portal.

    Now you can provide the link of your power apps portal to the end customer so that they update their details on portal and same details will be updated in your dynamics system.

    Does it mean I can send a link to the customers for them to update their info?

    I guess this solution requires having a Dynamics Marketing license?

    Hi Partner,

    Yes, you can add it to one marketing page and the page can be added into email, then you can send the email to customers.

    All operations are set in Marketing app, so you need purchase related licenses for it.

    Power apps portal can be provisioned without requiring a specific license. it will allow for both authenticated and anonymous access by external users and will offer pricing for both scenarios.
