Hi,

I am trying to create an extension of "Payroll Menus" and add a menu item to a submenu which is generated in another extension on the same Model.

I want to segregate my menu items based on the project. Now I have around five menu Extensions of same the Payroll menu and some menu Item are not visible on Payroll Menu.

why System ignore some extensions? what am I missing?

Kindly let me know if there is a way around apart from use single Payroll extension and all my menu items to the same extension.

regards,

Khurshid Wali

Let me suggest that you have one menu extension per model. It makes absolutely no sense to have one extension for each "project".

Especially extending your own menu extension within the same model - what's the point? They are not segregated since the second extension has dependency to the first one.

Anyway, why it's not working - most likely it's because of some detail that we can't see. Please check all the details once more. And if you need help, please share all the details. Thanks!

Remember that also security and configuration keys impact what is shown in menus. You can also move the menu items to a different place and see if they work then.

I have separate projects for all commission and I don't want dependencies if I export one Commission project to another system..

Now Category Commission and FieldStaff Commission are visible but another commission is not visible.

    Hi Khurshid,

    thanks for the information.

What do you mean by exporting one Commission project to another system? What is this other system?

I'm not sure if I understand your picture. But in your first message you wrote that some menu extension is extending another menu extension. So you have a depencency. If you don't want dependencies you should not have it like that.

Did you already try to move the "Another Commission" menu item somewhere else and see if it becomes visible? This way you can make sure if your issue has anything to do with menu extensions or not.
