Clear pegged requirements

Master Scheduling is pegging on hand inventory to orders in the future so sending actions to delay other orders that truly could use the inventory on hand.  We had change coverage groups from requirement to period but how do we removed the pegged orders to the on hand and other orders pegged to future open purchase orders.  Help..

Sorry - can you give an example of how you see master planning operating now, and how you think it ought to operate?
Also which version of AX2012 are you using? In CU9 (maybe earlier, I'm not sure) there's an option on the Coverage group to 'Consume on-hand inventory' which can be set to 'Before all other supply' or 'After all other supply' - but if you don't have that option, then I think the system always uses On-hand to satisfy demand before using open purchase orders.
If this is creating an issue at sales order entry consider using the ATP (Available to promise) functionality.

We are on R2 cu7.   I would not expect to see any delays everything should be covered no actions needed.  In the first shot you see the pegging of the on hand in the bottom window to orders due on 4-22 yet the order due on 3-23 are receiving a message to move out.  Then the second screenshot the future PO is pegged to the earlier orders.  I have verified the check box is set to include on hand inventory.   Any help is appreciated.ax-screen-shot-2.pngax-screen-shot-2.png

Hi Karen - have you marked those sales orders that you expect to be covered by on-hand to a purchase order? (Either deliberately with inventory marking; or inadvertently by firming with extended marking or raising the purchase order from the sales order).

The simplest way of checking this is to look at they status of the inventory transactions related to the sales order - are they On order or Ordered reserved?
