How to create an auto populated field from Contact form to Leads form?

I have two fields I created on both forms, and I also set up the mapping between the two entity forms, but they are lookup fields. Not sure if this affects them not being auto populate on the other form.

But I want to be able to fill out 'Contact' information and have it auto populate on Lead information. The mapping just doesn't seem to be working properly.

Hi Partner,

There are limitations to the mapping feature.

--Only works when creating child records(lead) from the parent record form(contact).

--You create one new lead from lead view directly and then select a contact, the mapping doesn't work.

If so, additional logic (Workflow, other) will be needed in order to populate the child’s fields.
