In NAV 2009 R2, when I click "Tools", "Security", and "Windows Logins" the SID is showing in the ID column. This used to show actual Active Directory usernames. Does anyone know how to change it back to the usernames over the SIDs and why this might have happened? I see there are two columns available (ID and SID) but both show the SID.

I found that if I sign in to the Nav database as an SQL Database user on the server itself, I can then see the Windows Authentication ID usernames. This is an inconvenient workaround for the time being.
All the usernames are still showing in SQL Server. Everyone is still able to sign in. I'm not ready to recreate 50 users so they show again as an ID. There must be another option.
Hello,
It means someone deleted these users from SQL Server, you can check it in SQL Server.
I recommended you recreate all users from NAV that are showing SID.
My ID is the only one showing correctly as "Domain\YourLoginID" already. It's all the others that show as SIDs.
Hello Brentman,
If the SID is yours then update the SID with Your Name with Domain
like:
Domain\YourLoginID
If not your SID then Create another login In NAV 2009 R2, when I click "Tools", "Security", and "Windows Logins"
and assign Roles, after that delete Earlier Login that showing SID.
Yes, logins are still present within AD. This isn't one login showing as a SID but all of our AD logins. The only one I'm seeing as an ID is myself.
Are the login still present on AD? Normally this happens if you've removed an account in AD.
