Moving Marketing Pages between environments

Hi all, hope you are all doing well.

I have a question about moving marketing pages (and other marketing related records) between environments, typically Dev -> Test -> UAT -> Live

I've been using the CDS Configuration Migration Tool as per https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/transfer-data

Largely been working fine for Marketing forms moving between environments, however marketing pages seem to be problematic - they transfer fine, however they still reference the source environment and as such, when viewed in the target portal, it comes up with an error. Are these pages not able to be included in the migration tool or is there a specific way to migrate these?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

    Hi Clofly,

Thanks for your response, that is where I got to in my investigations too - I wanted to confirm I wasn't missing something before proceeding with documentation of manual deployment steps required.

Slightly frustrating but hopefully that will improve over time.

    Thanks again.

    Hi Daniel,

We know that marketing form is part of marketing page.(Embedded script used to load marketing form is part of source code of marketing page.)

Because embedded script of marketing pages are still from the source environment, they only works for the source portal, so it displays domain trust issue.(In other word, only the source portal is whitelisted/authenticated by the source script.)

So you have to also migrate marketing form records from the source to the target, republish them to let new environment to generate new form loader script, then replace form of each page individually.

    Hi Clofly,

I've included the underlying web pages in the migration tool so don't have that particular issue - the issue I am having is that the marketing page references the marketing form in the source environment, not the migrated one in the target environment.

When accessing the page on the target portal (e.g. xxx.microsoftcrmportals/enquire) it displays a domain trust issue. I'll add some screenshots once the next build/release is done.

    Thanks

    Hi Daniel,

Some community user also encountered the same issue:

When marketing pages migrated from source environment, full page URL of them won't be associated to the new automatically.

    https://community.dynamics.com/365/marketing/f/dynamics-365-for-marketing-forum/410554/full-page-url-is-not-rendering

You could republish(stop and go live again) these records to check whether their URL could be associated to the new environment.
