Hi All,

I have a PR where the PR workflow is defined as

Start-Approve PR requsition--->PR approval condition-->true--end, false(PR requsuition for review--this has notifictaion that when reject- as below

Now  user A------->raises a PR-------------->send it to user B--------------->When user B rejects it------>The user get a workflow error that --Sysworkflowerror assert-User not found

Now the user A has left the origanziation

What should be the right way to avoid this scenario in future and how to tackle this error

Your help will be greatly appreciated

    Hi,

Don't make your workflows user specific.

There are usually other options available that you can use rather than assigning user A or user B.

Can you think of such more generic, user independent roles?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

This is indeed a special situation.

You have standard alternatives to deal with similar cases for Approvers/Delegates.

But, the submitter is always a single user. If such a case occurs, I think it is only possible to resolve from the backend. (Data correction in Tables, code update to workflow tables, so the action is passed on to another user).

    Hi NDingankar22,

In the future you can setup your workflow on the basis of hierarchy positions. Currently the user has been fixed with the approver. In that case there would be a user assigned to the position, so in case if the employee leaves the company another employee can take that position.

For more information on this please see https://vsdynamicsfinance.wordpress.com/2014/06/14/setup-a-workflow-based-on-worker-hierarchy/

Please mark YES against the answer that helps you. Thanks.

    Warm Regards,

    Zain
