    Hi Dharma Ranjan Sahu,

Confirmation button under Generate section: It open dialog box where you have other options like you can select Document date, Control print actions, You can select other PO's from the Grid and confirm them in Bulk.

Confirmation button under Action section: It confirm your PO right away

Pro forma confirmation: Business user usually use this when you as a Buyer with your supplier agree on detail and cost of the product before you issue them original and confirmed PO. we can use pro forma PO for different purposes in business.

    Hi Dharma,

The confirmation available in the Generate section is needed if you want to print/send a confirmation document to your vendor.

If you don't need that then you can use the on in the actions section.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    RE: Confirmation of Purchase order

    Hi Dharma Ranjan Sahu,

The buttons - "Generate confirmation > Confirmation" and "Actions > Confirm" perform the same operation i.e. confirming the purchase order. The only difference is that a dialog opens up when you click on the "Confirmation" button where you can make selections and can choose whether you want to print the PO at the end of the confirmation. The "Confirm" button on the other hand does not open a dialog and confirms the PO with the default values.

The button "Pro forma confirmation" simulates a confirmation process but does not create a confirmation journal record. This is mostly used to print a pro forma confirmation which can be shared with the vendor. On selecting this option you would find the posting checkbox unmarked and greyed out.

You can check the MS documentation regarding purchase order confirmation here.
