Can IOM use the QuantityOnHand in Product entity for Inventory

I have an existing integration that updates Products QuantityOnHand to show current levels of inventory. Would IOM recognize this field for inventory optimization, or would the inventory visibility service need to be customized to look at IOM's own Dataverse tables for that field?

The Intelligent Fulfillment Optimization service uses Inventory Visibility Service to read on-hand inventory. Inventory Visibility Service is also a highly scalable microservice that can provide inventory on-hand in optimal manner. It also provides inbound and outbound APIs to populate inventory from warehouses. Base Dataverse does not have on hand entity that display on-hand by Warehouse but is available with Field Service which does not have level of tracking that is needed for order orchestration.
