The budgeting process in our organization entails setting up provisional budgets with workstreams and account categories during the period prior to a fiscal year. Unfortunately, the acutal contracts do not always end up needing the same workstreams or account categories. However, we have not found a way to delete them in SL. Is there a method for doing so?

    Dear Mike,

    Unfortunately when you add an account category to the Budget screen the program will not allow a delete.

    This is consistant with the Budget screen in GL, I'm told.

    The only way really is through sql which is not really recommended as the budget amounts and units should be zero and will have no impact in calculations.

    The statement would be something like: delete from pjptdsum where acct = 'TRAVEL' and project = '0800009000'

    This statement (using your own acct/project values) will remove the item from the Budget screen.
