How to reduce the storage capacity

We are trying to analyze our storage capacity and understand why can't we create a Production environment. We are on the beginning of the Project and we didn't create anything huge. We are having really huge storage but all storage capacity is taking. How to reduce capacity? Why licenses taking 1.85 TB of the storage? Maybe someone can explain how to fix it?

    Hi,

On the right side in your screenshot you get an overview of the total capacity  you have available. This is a combination of fixed amount per tenant + amount based on the number & type of licenses + additional capacity (probably a bought add-on). So it shows you what capacity you have for the 3 types of storage. On the left side you then see how much is being used from the available capacity.

This article explains how it works and what actions you can take to reduce storage: docs.microsoft.com/.../capacity-storage

    Kind regards,

    Ward

    Hey!

On top, there's a tab that says "Dataverse" that will show the details (occupation) for each environment. The first point would be understanding how much is each environment consuming. WIth this information, you can then analyze, on a per-environment basis, which are the tables that require attention.  From there, follow the steps outlined on the official documentation that has been shared on a previous post.

IMPORTANT.  the only way to reduce storage is by removing data.  Before you delete anything, make sure your business stakeholders are aware of the action, and check if they have any requirement to keep certain period of records ("We need to keep last 3 years" or "we need to keep last 1 year").

    Regards
