How can I generate a two-dimensional barcode in axapta 2009?

Dear all,

In axapta,  we normally generate barcodes for single piece of information e.g ItemId.

My scenario is that I want to generate a "two-dimensional barcode" entailing more pieces of information e.g ItemId & ItemGroup.

Can anybody help me in this regard.

    Nothing you can't handle!  :)

    Build a custom report and use the barcode class.

    kent,

    that barcode generates single-dimension barcode and it has limit of '70' characters.

    While I want to generate a 2D-barcode with 6 pieces of information i.e

    ProductionId,

    Tender No,

    PO No.,

    PO Date,

    Tender Qty,

    Supplier Name

    and except ProductionId & PODate, all fields are of length 30 (EDT: string30)

    Out of the box, not possible.  Would require modifications.

    Sorry, I have little knowledge about axapta, but i am familiar with the barcode generation in .net.

    I think it's easy to control.

    In this library, high quality of liner barcodes and 2D barcodes are created.

    You can customize properties based on needs.

    there are many ways to do that. If you wanna save these complicated steps and find a easy way, you can google  barcode generator and you will find many useful tools, or google how to create barcode in c# to get instructive articles. Good luck:) I think some imaging sdk  programmes can enable to quickly generate barcodes. i have use imaging sdkr which can original layouts hyperlinks, Images and tables retained in word ,text, image, Epub, html.but i forgot download the wedsite ,go to google. By the way , pay attention to your system platform, select the suitable one . I use a barcode generator driver found on the internet . Install it and it becomes a selectable option.Then you can generate barcodes  in many formats  in any program at all, including Adobe Acrobat . Just open the sdk, select barcode, and choice a form you want, then you can generate 2D barcode in c#, vb, asp ,etc ,the task will be finished in several seconds. if you haven't found a good choice  , you can have a try. best wishes.

    i have several years' experience in generating barcode, i think some turioals and articles might be helpful. you can google QR code, and some articles can be available. i can give you some if you need . this is the turoial of generating QR code , you can ,make it as reference and the tool if free for 30 days. this is the barcode generator in vb and other formats, i think it might also be helpful. good luck.

    actually, you also can search on google to find that one you like and available , such as this resource about 2D in asp.net i think is helpful for my work.
