Error exporting config package to excel after Office 2016 reinstall

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

I am using NAV2015. I recently removed and reinstalled Office 2016 from my machine (through an organizational subscription with Office 365). From that point, it became impossible to export configuration packages to excel, instead-the following error message is received. I read about a known issue of having to ensure that the regional language settings match those of Office applications. But this does not help and the issue persists.

Any ideas ?

    Hi Patrick,

The issue could be probably because of old DLLs present in your system.

You can download the latest NAV Installer package and then copy the DLLs from the Add-ins folder to your currently installed Program files.

I think this should help as I faced the same issue and resolved it this way.

Found my own solution. Let Office 365 do an upgrade from version 1906 to 1907 and all is working again. Wierd though as NAV hadn't upgraded so not sure why it should have stopped working with Office.

    Hi Patrick,

Did you ever find a resolution to this issue as a google search let me to your post.

    Cheers, Chris
