Hi everyone,

I have an concern about Subscription Center. When I set up an subscription form, I need user to pay attention and tick on the check box to unsubscribe from bulk email. So I try to set this field to "required field".

When user tick on the field and submit the form, the field on Contact form will be set to Do Not Allow.

After that, if user want to re-subscribe to get emails from company, user can click on the Subscription center link to do the reverse action. But here is the problem occurred. When user enter Subscription page, because the Bulk Email field is turn on, the check box is already tick, and when user untick to re-subscribe, the form can not Submit because the field is blank and this field is required.

So is there any solution for the customer to re-subscribe to the Subscription form and the field is also require to fill in?

Thanks.

    Hi Duy Bao,

as Nikolai has pointed out, "do not bulk email" shouldn't be made a required field. Doing so will disrupt the logic of subscription process.

By doing this you actually force end user to unsubscribe from all marketing/commercial emails, and I guess this is not your goal :).

This should be kept is an optional field to fill in, but you can add description to that.

The "required field" is used for setting some important fields such as Last Name and Email as required to be filled to make sure these fields contain data.

You could append a span element to the check box using custom code, text of the element would be something like "Please pay attention to the option if you would like to opt out.".
