MS Dynamics AX 2012 integration with Project Server 2010

Hi,

I've tried to make a synchronization between MS Dynamics AX 2012 R2 (we use VM AX2012R2A-v.1.0)  and Project Server 2010. But all transactions have a transaction status "Waiting" in System Organization -> MS Project Server Integration -> Integration log. Although while I'm creating a project from Project Server or Project Professional I can choose information for a project properties from MS DAX (this means there is an informational exchange between programs), but there is no project in "Projects" in Project server appeared.

I think the problem is connected with Project Server 2010. Because when I'm trying to create a project (any way: from Project Server or Project Professional) , it is created, but not published. (there is no project in "Projects" in Project Server).

I have all permissions like administrator in all programs.

Please, help to find out the problem .

Thanks, Julia

there are separate machines for AX and PS? or both are on same server? if you have both on separate servers (and possibly in case when both are running on one - did not checked it), check please both services running on PS (ps synch service and ps queue service); both are running using some account, ensure please that this/these accounts have rw permissions to both databases: AX and PS one.

    regards

    Thanks for your reply.

I have AX and PS on the same server. I've checked account which start up Project Server and , unfortunately,  it has administrator permissions for both services. I suppose that the problem stem from Virtual Machine version (it's v.1.0).

it is not exactly what I wrote about - do not mix please domain/computer admin rights with permissions to access/write to database; what I've tried to say is that accounts used to run services must have rw access to databases, not servers; ensure please that this/these accounts are, for example db_admins on SQL

Our administrator checked everything one more time. And he has ensured that account is as should be. But it hasn't helped.

Can smth different influence on the work of the system?

    Thanks for advices,

    Julia

P.S. We are going to change version of Virtual Mashine from v.1.0 to v.2.0 in the nearest time. Maybe it will help to solve the problem. VM v.1.0 is written to contain mistakes connected with Project server, but we don't know what kind of.

so maybe let's start step by step; first - could you ensure that in system administration, in integration settings you have something like that:

    where:

    - integration status is 'completed'

    - database name mentioned is the one to which users running both services we discussed have rw access

    - all other parameters are correct, and pointing to right project server?

    - also, ensure please that queue mentioned in synchronization service parameters is right one:

pointing to right server, and proper queue (note that there is - because of some reasons - '$' missing after 'private' in my case; if you are using separate servers for AX and PS you would need to used hidded queue (with '$'), even if this '$' would not be shown in window as above.. it is 'feature' :)

    - test queues (computer management -> service and application -> message queueing, right click, there will be on one sheet something like 'test ping' - ensure it works)

    - last at this moment - ensure please that services are running (2 mentioned before)

if above will not help, and again - if you are sure users running services have rw access to DBs (still doubt :)), then it may happen that net business connector has one of the issues: is wrongly installed (for example is not pointing right AOS), or it is not installed at all; be aware that if you have 2 separate servers, one for AX one for PS, netbusiness connector needs to be installed on both

    regards

    Thank you for advice!

So, as we supposed, the problem was in version of the VM (v.1.0). We upgraded them (to v.3.0), so now everything works correctly.
