THE PROBLEM:

We've recently deployed crm 2013 in our work environment. Our hospitatily business we've created fields for a booking tool url like this:

direct.openbook.net/panorama_home.aspx

This field has been set to be searchable. However..... When I search for lets say: 101117 wich in this case is the property id and on the account. Only the account shows up not the url.

THE QUESTION:

How do I make these URL's searchable within crm?

    Hello Cory,

    If you want add a field as searchable you have to flag this one whithin search visualization. To perform this go to setting - customizations - your solution (or default solutions) - select the entity - visualization - search view and on the right you will find an option to select which fields you want transform like searchable.

    Add the URL field to the view and also add this field to the Quick Find view's searchable column. Once you have done this, if you search for *10117,  you will be able to see the value stored on the URL field as part of your search results. The (*) above is the wildcard search - it will give you all records which starts with 10117 or contains 10117.
