What is the best way to include Water as a component of a formula, Non-Stocked products are not allowed on Formula Lines
Hello Peter,
Can you help me better understand the need for including a non-stocked product on a formula line? Are you trying to incorporate a cost of the nonstocked item? By design, non-stocked products cannot be used on BOM or Formula lines.
The non-stocked ingredient is Water, the amount of water will vary according to different formulas.
The water is paid for as consumed.
Can you set up Water as an operation on the Route, and consume the cost in that manner? I don't see a way to put it on the BOM/Formula unless it is marked as a stocked product.
We don't really care about the cost of the water. The main factor is defining the amount of water put into the product.
We have not gotten into the operations on a Route.
We can look into that if you think that is best.
