Hi,
We’re planning to use recurring integrations with high volume integrations. My question is can it be configured to consume json format or not? I briefly checked the settings and I think it was only for xml and other formats. This is a relevant question because I’ve already told customer that D365 can consume json by using REST API. Anyone?
Data management supports fixed width, XML and excel files. If there is no possibility of getting any of the supported format from customer application then you can try to use XSLT 3.0 to convert JSON to XML and import XML. XSLT transformation is supported by D 365. So you can try to work with simple data with few fields and if it works you can enhance the XSLT as per your needs.
Also if you have middle ware like BizTalk who can transform JSON to XML you don't need to do anything.
Recurring integrations API supports XML and other formats not JSON. It supports XSLT-based transforms that must be applied to inbound data.
Also note that Json.NET library supports conversion between JSON and XML.
