Hi, guys!
I need your help here. We need to do a sizing for a potential implementation of Dynamics 365 for Field Service, but it should be installed on-premise. I'm reading a lot of documents the last two days and to be honest - I got really confused. I have no experience with D365 Field Service and I hoped to find a planning/implementation guide just as we have them with AX for example. Unfortunately I couldn't find such info. Or at least one that gives me what I need.
What I found is this: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh699840.aspx
This gives some clue on what the D365 Server requires, but the estimation is based on 320 users benchmark and I'm not sure how to extrapolate it to fit my 1000 users sizing goal. Also this doesn't say which module is considered - Operations only, Field Service too, or...?
Moreover, there is not any detailed information about the available system topology architectures, nor any advice. It doesn't tell how to implement availability solutions, redundancy and etc.
Ultimately, I need two things:
To know what are the standard topologies that MS suggests so that we know how many separate servers we need and how to make them redundand;
A way to calculate the needed server CPU/Memory size.
Is there any document or source where I can find this info? Or maybe some of you has experience with this?
