Hi everyone,

We have some isssue with ER printing destination.
We developed our own version of Sales Packing Slip and we would like to print it through code to specific printer.

As we investigated during debugging F&O uses SRSPrintDestinationSettings to designate proper printer. But during printing developed ER Packing Slip, system always print to Excel and totally ignore printer name and printer settings set in SRSPrintDestinationSettings.

My question is how You deal with to use ER with various printer destinations.

Hi,

Thanks Ludwig for your response. Below i upload our ER file destination settings.

As i wrote above we would like to control which network printer will be used depends of user which triggered ER

sales packing slip mapping was downloaded from Global Microsoft repository and we made some minor changes
Below i uploaded piece of code which generate a packingslip proforma and pass network printer destination.
In case of SSRS report its works fine

Hi Kamil-Musialski,

You can use "Business Document Manager" to provide tag & function instead of adding custom code.

This will allow you to select the report in Print management where you can define the printing.

Thank You for the response.

Please take a look at this docs

from this site: docs.microsoft.com/.../er-api-named-destinations

And we tried this configuration and we checked the code. ER engine always look to the Electronic reporting destination regardless of Print Management config.

For now we wait to download new PU 21 and we want to check record specific print destination from this topic:

I am trying to configure ER destinations as per this link:

docs.microsoft.com/.../er-action-dependent-destinations

I need to be able to select at run time if the document should be emailed or output to screen. I have successfully configured it to perform as per my ER destinations below and in this scenario it emails the purchase order and also prints to screen.

This is great. However, when I enable the features listed on the above Microsoft article it stops emailing and printing to screen.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem? Or am I missing something? I have raised this multiple times with Microsoft but had no satisfactory response from them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Karen,

I have created a similar ER destination, but only i seem to be able to get the email and on screen at run time, my colleagues just get a blank after the processing this procedure has finished.

Did your work when others tried running the same action?

Any help would be appreicated.

Hi All,

I managed to figure this out: the report is in draft so the user needed to have there user parameter under electronic reporting set to:

Use destinations for draft status = Yes:

Organisation Admin > Electronic reporting workspace > Reporting configuration > select the format > click configurations > User Parameter > tick yes to Use destinations for draft status.
