I got this error message when trying to change the production order status from Released to Finished

"Location Code must have a value in item Journal Line: Journal Template Name=, Journal Batch Name=, Line No.=0, It cannot be zero or empty". I ensure that i have added all the locations to the output and materials consumed.

That is also header. When you populated the Location you need to Refresh the order again

    See below for more info

Also as Kim mentioned in line click Line and Components and make sure all components (except non-inventory) has locations.

Production Order has a header and lines. The header has the number, item, quantity, start date, etc. Typically the line of the production inherits the values from the header.  The components are attached to the production order line.

To verify, I'm not talking about your output or consumption. It's important that the production order has the same location on its face as the output and the components have the same location as the consumption.

For production order header, look at the various fields on the production order not the line on the production order.

Make sure that your production order header has a location and that each component line has a location code.
