Hi there, I was wondering if it's possible to hide or remove entities in Sales Enterprise that are no longer being used, such as products and invoices? Has anyone done this before?

Thanks,

Sarah

    Hi Sarah McN,

Yes, It is possible. Follow the below steps:

    1. Login into the make.powerapps.com
    2. Select the correct environment.
    3. Go to the apps.
    4. Edit your app

    Hi Sarah,

Where do you want to hide these from and for which all users you want to hide it from?

Sitemap? - Yes, You can modify the sitemap and remove the extra/unwanted tables.

Pretty easy, Create a solution and add the Sales Ent Sitemap in the solution and modify accordingly. This would remove for all the users

Now, if you want to hide it from selected few users, then modify the security roles.

Let us know if that helps.

    Thanks,

    KD

    Hi Kamaldeep,

Thank you for your reply, this is really helpful. I'd like to remove the entity completely so that it doesn't appear in the navigation, views options, etc. In that case it sounds like creating the solution will work well. Can I just copy the main solution, edit to remove the entity and then replace the main solution with the new one?

Alternatively I did use the security roles to remove it for certain users but it's still there for the admins and the preference is for it to be removed altogether which probably can't easily be done for admins using security roles/hierarchy/business units I'm guessing.

    Thanks,

    Sarah

Thank you for this Abdul. I just have the issue with not being able to remove components from the managed solution so it sounds like creating a copy of the solution, editing it as an unmanaged solution to remove the entity and then replacing the previous solution might be the best option?

    Hi Sarah McN,

I am wondering why you are asking the question like this. In ae you do not want to remove the component directly and you need a solution. Create a new solution from make.powerapps.com.

Add your app to the solution

and then remove the table. The action of removing the table removes all of its components (views, from, etc.) also.
