This is a general request for feedback on the new grid controls. My organisation has recently upgraded to 10.0.11 platform update 35. We did a lot of testing in the sandbox prior to the production upgrade in particular of the new grid controls to see whether they were stable enough to use in Production all went well and to date we have been using them in Production for the last few days so far so good apart from one issue. This is with the grid lines that traditionally display when entry or viewing an unposted journal, general ledger or tax invoice. This seems to be very random as to whether the grid lines appear or not. I have included some example screen shots below from the sandbox environment 1 of global general journals where the grid lines appear as we expect and the other of global invoice journals where the grid lines do not appear. But this seems random as it can very from day to day as to whether the gridlines appear.
I am interested to know whether any one is experiencing the same issue, whether this is a known bug versus working as intended versus something in our set-up or whether being in public preview still you do not recommend we enable the new grid controls in Production?

Hi Simon,
There are indeed still some glitches. I would recommend to wait enabling the new grid controls in production. They are part of the 2020 wave 2 release plan (Oct 2020-Mar 2021).
I have seen a strange behavior recently where data got filtered unattended until you reset the filters on the form. However, if you don't encounter real functional issues, you can use the new grid control.
It seems to left click the mouse, then the grid lines appear in the form.

there is a new quality update on PU35, see if it helps

I have not seen this issue mentioned in the known issues or the quality update. We are already using the new controls in Production and this is the only issue we have encountered but if we find more I may have to disable these.

thanks I have gone through the none issues and I can't see this particular issue mentioned hence my question a lot were fixed in 10.0.11 and there do not seem to be any mentioned on this specific issue in later updates or the quality update for 10.0.11.

I can't see this issue mentioned in the quality update but I may try to apply to the sandbox environment anyway to see if this helps.
I had encountered the issue when trying to assign security roles to users from the users detail page. In that case, it started e.g. with the project manager role and I was not able to scroll to e.g. the accountant role until I did reset the filters. It was only happening when the new grid control was enabled.
We are experiencing the grid displaying issue on PU45. Juts want to know if anyone else has lost the grid lines from displaying on grid based forms.

we still have the same issue with PU43, but our users seem to have learned to live with it. At least they have not raised it as an issue with me recently.
Had the same issue, and stumbled across the cause.
The cause is Read Mode and Edit Mode. Read Mode = No lines in grid. Edit Mode = Lines in grid.
