Error: Fixed Asset No. '40195' does not exist

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

The 40195 is the G/L account number that I specified in the General Posting Setup for the combination of Gen. Bus Posting Group and Gen. Prod. Posting group combination in the Sales Line Disc. Account field.

I receive this message when trying to sell a Fixed Asset on a Sales Order with a line discount.  I receive the error message after trying to post the Sales Order.

I have looked for hot fixes for this and I have been unable to find any.  I am using Dynamics Nav 2009 R2.

Please let me know if anyone else was able to recreate this error message or if you have a resolution.

Hi, we've contacted our consultant and it seems the problem lays deeper than expected.

We'll make the invoice in different small invoices in order to tackle the problem and isolate the issue.

    Hi,

    I have the same problem.

It blocks on 'posting Sales and VAT' at it seems on line 18.

I recoded line 17 / 18 and 19 just to be sure, but the problem remains.

I've double checked the Type, everything is as it should be.

Nothing changed compared to the last time we've booked (last month)

    Any ideas?

Have you made the correct setup needed, when you are selling the FA? Like, filling in Sales Accounts on Disposal (Gain/Loss)? Also, if you would not put a line discount in the Sales Order, would it allow you to post it correctly?

    Hi Markins,

Could you please provide more details so that we can provide better solution... Try attaching screenshots...

But you can always try Debugger to find where exactly the errors lies...

Check in Fixed asset master for specified fixed asset if you are selecting that fixed asset

As well as activate debugger and check where you are getting the error
