Not able to automatically process Work for sales order picking

Hi,

I created a work template and set the system for Automatically processing in Work Template.

Then I created a sales order and clicked "Release to Warehouse"

But on doing so, system creates wave, work with correct Pick, Put Work Types but does not automatically process them.

It also throws an error: "Automatic processing is not allowed with License Plate control"

Can you please help. My client wants to automate this process.

try to use the batch job for release to warehouse with crietrias.

This would ensure reservation of inventory happens. You musty enable the same on warehouse master.

What setup is there for item on storage dimension group and your work template?

Hi Anurag,

I don't think so the automatic functionality is available for Sales order work type.

As we have to follow some physical work by doing this. That's why the error is generating. I believe you have to use the mobile device for this to complete the work.

put should not be posted automatically rather the system can suggest defaults using location directive and work template to make it easy for operator to quickly check and click confirm

This is so logical:

1) The automatic execution needs a default user to be specified in the WHS parameters.

2) The automatic execution will fail if there are more that 1 license plates to choose from.

3) The automatic execution will fail if there are more that 1 serial numbers to choose from.

... and so on.

I mean, if you automate sales order picking, why to you use the advanced warehousing at all? As a last resort, you may declare your picking and storage locations as not license plate controlled and enjoy the result: an advances warehouse working as a non-advanced one :)
