Dynamics 365 CE Integration with Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Hello Experts,

I have the below requirement to Integrate Dynamics 365 CE with Salesforce.

  1. In Salesforce marketing, when an inquiry marks ready for sale, send it to D365 sales – created a record in lead entity using APIs. Currently manually importing enquiries in a spreadsheet.
    1. Search if the record already exists in lead, create lead If it doesn’t exist. Also, search for a contact by email/phone – if found link it to lead. Will get field mapping doc for list of data elements.
  2.  In D365, when a lead status is updated (opportunity won or lost, associated revenue), send status back to Salesforce marketing for reporting.
    1. Trigger D365 workflow or plugin on status change to update Salesforce marketing cloud – call SFDC API’s.
  3. In D365, lead and contact entity form – show SFDC marketing cloud journey (customer interactions via email)
    1. Call SFDC API to fetch marketing journey data
    2. In D365 – build visual to display marketing journey (IFrame tab or PFC control widget,?)

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

    Sorry, I have to say this strikes me as, well, retarded.  You're paying for 2 products that can do the SAME BLOODY THINGS.  And then investing a bunch more doing custom integration work. D365 has a Marketing automation platform very similar (and obviously competitive) to SFMC.  And SF obviously has all the CRM capabilities of D365 Sales.  What you're talking about is, in my opinion, equivalent to going and buying 2 cars and then trying to mash them together so that driving either one also drives the other one.  And if THAT doesn't seem ridiculous, then I have no idea what would meet that bar in your world.

    And D365 Sales doesn't support iFrames for URL's that require authentication, BTW.

    Seriously, choose ONE car.  And I'm saying that as a Solution/Enterprise Architect with over 7 years titled experience.
