Hi Friends,

I was just trying one scenario, I created one purchase order against the procurement category (Not item), and find the below:

1. In the distribution account  ledger account was not picked automatically

2. After invoicing PO cost not incurred in the Project

Also I notice one more thing the "Posting type" in the voucher for the project ledger account its showing "Purchase expenditure for expense" instead of "Project - Cost".

Earlier also I posted the same query a long back, below is the link:

(+) Project purchase order not incurred the cost in project - Microsoft Dynamics AX Forum Community Forum

Can anyone help to know what its happening, i am Using AX 2012 R3.

Thanks in Advance

Regards,

Imran Ul Haq

    Hello Imran,

    For No 1:

Is your procurement category linked to a project category? If this is the case, the correct ledger account should be picket up.

    For No 2:

Do you have some pending transactions in the subledger journal vouchers not yet transferred to GL? There is a specific form available for that in GL to check.

    For Q3:

The posting type will the the one you stated when you post the packing slip. However, an offset transaction will be posted when you post the PO invoice and your project cost account will be debited with the costs. This necessitates of course that the PO is correctly linked to a project.

    Tip:

Can you double check your setup with the one that is made in the MS demo company USSI?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

Sorry for the late reply, actually I pass this case on to the technical team to debug it, as what I find is when we create the PO from the Project we are able to change the Project ID on the header which in standard I believe greyed out. So i am checking this with him, once we will solve or come to some conclusion will post the result.

    Thanks,

    Hi Ludwig,

the issue get resolved, something was wrong in the code, project code was not returning the project value in the PO lines, that's why the PO was not considering as the Project PO.

Many thanks Ludwig for your usual support.

    Thanks
