Upgrade to DAX-2012 R3 CU9 from DAX-2009

Hello

Is the direct upgrade from DAX-2009 to DAX-2012 R3 CU9 / CU10 possible?

I am confused by the fact, that there are no classes ReleaseUpdateDB5* in the installed instance of DAX-2012 R3 CU9.

I appreciate your answers!

    Hi Pavel,

    A data upgrade from AX 4 and AX 2009 is supported. You can download the AX 2012 upgrade guide for the details.

    Also note that AX 2012 has some features which might require a reconfiguration if you want to use them (e.g. organization hierarchies, dimension based on internal organizations). In that case you probably might want to upgrade only master data; reconfigure AX; then upload opening balances with e.g. Data Import Export Framework.

    Upgrade from AX 2009 SP1 to AX 2012 R3 is officially supported.

    Maybe you haven't installed Foundation Upgrade model, which contains necessary objects.

    I have checked the actual model list, the model is realy not installed.

    Hi André

    Thank you for your reply! Our Problem was connected with not installed Foundation Upgrade model.

    The idea is, that we try to migrate all the transactional data (such as data from CustTrans, LedgerTrans, AssetTrans) with the help of standart data upgrade (with some additional data scripts) after code upgrade is finished. This should be realistic as far as I know.
