Error Connecting Opportunities to Sequences

I'm having a permission error when attempting to connect opportunities to sequences for Sales Reps. I have system admin privileges so I'm not sure what is causing this issue.

Additionally, it seems that I am able to connect these opportunities to some sequences but not others. All sequences in this case are based on opportunities and not contacts.

    Can you elaborate on the steps you made?
    I may have misunderstood,

    as far as I know, a contact-based sequence can only connect to contact or segment.

    When I'm creating a blank sequence I have the option to associate it with an opportunity.

    After creating a sequence and navigating to the "connected opportunities" tab I receive this error message when attempting to connect an opportunity that is owned by someone else to a sequence that is owned by me. Although there is another sequence that is also on the opportunity level that I do not get the permission error when connecting opportunities to that sequence.

    Update: Issue has been resolved

    Inspected the web page while attempting to add someone to a sequence which led to finding out that they didn't have email signature access.
