BOM Table CreatedDateTime has been changed to current date and time

Dear All,

We have one report "BOM Valuation" which is ran based on BOMTable with date filter "CreatedDateTime".

I saw in BOMTable properties "CreatedDateTime set to NO". When i changed property CreatedDateTime set to YES it's changed all records CreatedDateTime set to CurrentDateTime for all records. Now report is not working because CreatedDateTime has been changed.

Can you please let me know why it's happening.

Please give me more shed on this.

Thanks!

Arpan

When you activated the CreatedDateTime field for table BOMTable, it created the field in the database for the first time, and was immediately populated with its default value, which is right now.

If the field had been activated when the environment was first installed, then the CreatedDateTime would reflect the actual date and time each record was created, as set at the time each record was created.

Since the field didn't exist at the time, no record exists of when each record was created.  What else can the system do, except populate the new field with some value?  Is your objection that it used right now instead of 1900/01/01?  Did you somehow expect the actual original created date/time of reach record to appear, as if it somehow knew that?

    Thanks Sukrut,

Actually i not developed that report. I saw createddatetime is used for date filter range.

Customer said, it's working fine earlier.

Means you said if i create a new records in BOM table and if "Createddattime" is set to NO then it's saving default value 1/1/1900 for all records right?

Please let me know is't correct ?

    then i will post again.

Please give me more shed on this.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Sukrut,

means if any one changed "CreatedDateTime" property to YES means it will impact that current date and time right?

The same thing happened with "ModifiedDateTime" also ?

Please give me more shed on this.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Sukrut,

Only one thing, if i updated records through

    X++ OR

directly change in to Table field OR

    through change from UI.

Then in table "ModifiedDateTime" will get update and "CreatedDateTime" will remain same until unless if i not change the property

    Is't correct?

Please give me more shed on this.

    Thanks!
