Hi Team,

I want to set up a demo Dynamics 365 environment.

Please let me know if anybody has setup one for themselves and can guide me.

Hi Nidhi,

If you need a demo machine for testing purposes go to life cycle services - create a project or open an existing one - go to cloud hosted enviornments and select the version you want to deploy by hitting the add-button. You will then be reconnected to MS connect from where you can download the VHD files that you can deploy as in the past.

Hey Ludwig,

I tried doing the steps that you mentioned but i do not get an option to deploy Dynamics 365.

The latest Product i get in AX 2012 R3 CU 11.

Hi Nidhi,

Did your organization sign up for the Dynamics 365 environments? Are other colleagues able to deploy a machine?

At least you need to login with an organizational email, not a hotmail, outlook or gmail account.

Have also a look at the next page for the steps: Sign up for a subscription.

Hi Andre,

Yes i have a preview email and i am able to proceed further as suggested by @Ludwig.

But now i am stuck at enabling ARM on my Azure Connector.

I want to add 'Dynamics Deployment Services [wsfed-enabled]' as a Contributor to my subscription but for some reason cannot see the settings charm on my Subscription, even though i am the Account Admin.

Do you know how i can add 'Dynamics Deployment Services [wsfed-enabled]' as a Contributor to my subscription?

Hi Nidhi,

Allow me to help you, in absence of André.

Basically adding 'Dynamics Deployment Services' has been an issue for us also, when we started deploying august update. The basic process is listed on AX Wiki. As per my experience everything should go fine, except step 12c. At step 12c you will get stuck as you may using a different account, such as, @live ID to manage your Azure hosting whereas your AX Tenant would probably be office 365.

Luckily Microsoft support has already blogged this issue. Also you can have a look at one of my blog post.

@Sohaib. Thanks for jumping in, which is always allowed and appreciated. I'm not absent but very, very busy these days... So the forum has a bit lower priority to be able to manage all work and private related obligations.

Interesting; it won't accept either my MBS solutions partner login or my business email login. Strange.

I went the legacy way and have started downloading the 38 rar files for the VMa AX 2012 R3 CU 9 demo and put out queries to my IAMCP contacts for get GP and AX 365 demonstration environment access.
