I have attached a file to employee using attachment option from employee screen. On attachment screen, I want to add customized field (using personalize option "add a field" ) e.g. Valid from: and Valid to: but system throws an error message saying "None of the tables in the current context support the addition of custom fields."
How can i add a custom field on attachment screen? Please urgent help is required.

In other words, how to add a custom field in DocuRef table.

Only tables that support custom fields will appear in the drop-down list. docs.microsoft.com/.../user-defined-fields
This means that no custom fields can be added to this form.
What fields do you need to add to the attachment? You can add notes to it.

It's not possible to add a field on table.
You do have the created date (which can be used as valid from date), and you could rename/reuse the note field for expiration date:
Keep in mind that this is a personalization that needs to be rolled out to other users.
