Hello, I need to produce a report for my accountant. He's asking me to provide him with a detailed General Ledger report. Where can I find this report? Thank you.

Hello @SC-08071623-0 ! You can generate a detailed General Ledger report in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central by following these steps:

How to Access the General Ledger Report

Use the Search Bar
Click the 🔍 search icon at the top of Business Central and type:
General Ledger Entries

Open the Report Page
Select the General Ledger Entries option from the results. This opens a page where you can view all posted transactions.

Apply Filters
Use filters to narrow down by:

Date range
G/L Account
Dimensions (e.g., Department, Project)

Export the Report
Once filtered, click on the Page menu → Open in Excel or Send to Excel. This gives you a detailed export for your accountant.

Hello,

You can generate a detailed General Ledger report by searching for “General Ledger Entries” in the search bar, applying filters like date range or account number, and then exporting the data via the Print or Send to Excel/PDF options.

For a more structured financial view, you can also use the Financial Reporting feature under Reports, where you can define rows and columns, apply filters, and export the report as needed.
