I'm trying to post a previously approved timesheet, but I got an error message.
Project management \Timesheets\Unposted timesheets -> Message: One or more accounting distributions is missing a ledger account. Use the Accounting distribution form or the Posting profile to update the ledger account.
When I look at the 'View distribution' form the ledger account is missing. The Ledger account has been set up previously to the project category. But I looks some parameter setup is still missing!?
Ps. I’ve entered time against the line number 1 only, the line number 2 has been created automatically in the background.
Is there anyone who have seen this issue?

There is no customization in the system and no special setup changes
Which CU are you using with R3? Is there any change in setup or customuzations done?
Yes, I've tried several times processing a new timesheet. But the result is the same, two line has been created as you can see above.
I'm using AX2012 R3, Contoso.
Given the steps you have taken, it should not create a second line in the Accounting Distribution. Can you try what happens with a new timesheet?
What exact version of AX 2012 are you using?

So, I'm using the Contoso and the USMF company. I've made a project and assigned a worker and a contractor to the project. The timesheet periods are existing and those have been updated to the worker. So, I did enter time against the project via EP and AX client and submitted them. I used one line only on the timesheet and I've entered time for one specific day only. Afterwards, I ran the workflow, so the timesheet's status has been changed from draft to approved. However, the I couldn't accomplish to change the timesheet status from approved to posted. I've selected the 'Unposted timesheets' form and selected one of my timesheet and clicked on 'Post selected'. However, I got this message below.

I believe the Project ID cannot be blank on a Project Time sheet. That is how it looks up the category to get the posting GL accounts.

Can you tell a bit more about the lines on the timesheet? Do you mean you only wrote one line? Did you write time using the AX client, Enterprise portal or a windows/phone app? Did you create multiple lines and removed before submitting to the workflow?

Unfortunately I can't select the general account on the form above. Yes, we double did double check the Project ledger posting setup and we haven't found any issue in it.
The user has been assigned to USMF and I can enter time against a project with that user.
Do you have any other idea?

Hello Peter, Can you actually modify and fill the empty ledger account field in the screenshot above? Have you double checked the Project ledger posting Setup? Also check to which company your employee is assigned to and whether he can post Transactions in your current Company. Hope it helps, Ludwig
