Difference between ScaleUnit and InStore Github sample code

On this link, I found the two sample code, InStore and ScaleUnit both have similar projects while InStore have 2 more projects. I build the Instore project and gets the following errors which I can't resolve. It seems related to some typescript error

The version of InStore sample code is 9.28.

Other than that, what is the difference between these two code samples: Scale Unit and InStore

I didn't get your point about the error part.

About the difference, different version of these repos have different projects like some contain only pos customization but installer while other contain channel database customization and so on.

    Hi,

As for the differences, the docs say…

    Dynamics365Commerce.ScaleUnit repository

The Dynamics365Commerce.ScaleUnit repository contains the sample code for customizing the Commerce runtime (CRT), Retail Server, and channel database.

    Dynamics365Commerce.InStore repository

The Dynamics365Commerce.InStore repository contains the sample code for how to customize POS, Hardware station, Commerce runtime (CRT), headless Commerce APIs, and the channel database.

So it looks like ‘in store’ is POS/register components and ‘Scale unit’ is CSU… and both overlap a bit on CRT as that component is present in both.

As for the error, it looks like it may be an issue with the build command being used.  I would read that as an attempt to specify BOTH a “project file” (*.csproj) as well as a list of specific source files (*.cs, etc.), which apparently is not allowed.  I would confirm the config for how you are attempting to build the project.
