VBA to Open PDF file on PM Transaction Inquiry

Importing PM Transaction via integration using eOne Smarconnect. Along with the data that is integrated a PDF of the AP Invoice is also sent. This PDF file will be stored on a web site.

Want to do a lookup to open the PDF file from the PM Transaction entry Zoom window. I have added the URL Link and Zoom Button and linked it to the field like i have seen in a number of posts,

Since the user was paying for storage of the documents on a site i was not going to do the BLOB storage in SQL.

Do I need to use DUOS Object ?

You mentioned you are using eOne Smartconnect import, where currently saving link?

Will there be single file or multiple attachment files?

You need small customization for that in my opinion. Better go for Dexterity customization.

I would not use VBA. I would use GP Power Tools developer tools module.

Easier and more powerful than pure Dexterity for this sort of customisation.

Instead of the VBA since it isn't supported anymore, you could also create an Extender window linked to the PM Transaction Entry screen with a field that has a type of Website.

Since you're using SmartConnect, you could also integrate the URL of the document to that Extender window at the same time you are integrating the transaction to Payables.

If you want the field on the same window, Modifier and GP Power Tools is the way to go.
