Segmenting marketing campaigns in CRM

Hi all, 

Has anyone implemented a way for Dynamics to create marketing lists in CRM based on different queries? 

I work for a software company, and if I want to start tracking what kind of technologies other companies use, what is the best way to log this information and query it in CRM?

    Hi christinel,

    This is one approach to start tracking what kind of technologies other companies use.

    1. Add the Competitor entity to your instance.
    2. Add a custom entity called "Competitor Technologies" to your instance.
    3. Create a one-to-many relationship between the Competitor entity and the Competitor Technologies entity.
    4. Place a Sub-Grid on a Competitor entity form to display Competitor Technologies records.
    5. Query the Competitor Technologies entity as required.

    Thanks Adrian! This sounds like it should work. I checked our CRM, and it looks like our competitor entity is already activated. Will need to research how to create a one-to-many relationship though.

    Here is a useful guide on creating 1:N (one-to-many) and N:1 (many-to-one) relationships.
