Enterprise portal is up and running in SharePoint 2013 environment using SP 2010 template.. I would need to convert the template from 2010 to 2013 and need to use the full feature of SP 2013 in the enterprise portal.. BTW I am using Ax 2012 R2 version...

Someone please give the steps for the conversion.

Thanks in advance.

In  this link (technet.microsoft.com/.../dn169057.aspx) is to install EP on SP2013 but the clarification is that how can we convert the existing EP portal on SP2013 which is using SP2010 site template to the SP2013 Site template. To my knowledge this is not supported so far . In the same link, MS has mentioned in the known issues and updates as

"Experience all that SharePoint 2013 has to offer > Missing Site Templates: After you install Enterprise Portal on SharePoint 2013 you see a message bar that says, “Experience all that SharePoint 2013 has to offer.” If you click the link provided, you see an error that states, “Missing Site Templates”. You can ignore this message. To retain important functionality, features, and design, Enterprise Portal uses the SharePoint 2010 mode provided by SharePoint 2013."

If someone can confirm this statement that would be awesome. Is there no way for us to upgrade the EP portal to SP2013 Site template ?

I would suggest to turn this the other way around. Make efforts to persist anything you might have changed in Enterprise Portal back to the AOT. This would include any web parts, any role centers and so on. Make sure you have correctly persisted it back to the AOT and it is correctly up to date in the AOT.

Now deploy your AX to a test with SharePoint 2013 and simply deploy Enterprise Portal there. You should end up with a complete Enterprise Portal working just as your source.

Remember, the setup of EP should always be saved back to the AOT, allowing the definition to remain there. The data and the content is always provided from AX. The goal is to make sure Enterprise Portal is simply a web based portal UI "owner" completely by AX. This also makes it very easy to reproduce Enterprise Portal if it needs to be recreated.
