New Install CRM 2016: How to add users?

I am a Linux Server person, than a Windows one. So I am a bit clueless with Windows Server.

So I have installed Dymanics CRM 2016 (On Server 2012 R2) using this guide:  https://www.crmviking.com/2016/02/installing-dynamics-crm-2016.html

All went well with that installation

So, the guide mentions nothing about adding additional users.

So I find this documentation:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3036179/microsoft-dynamics-crm-installations-updates-and-documentation

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/

Both of those also fail to mention how to add users, thus is useless with that.

I tried adding a new user to Active Directory, but upon trying to log in, I see the following message:

No Microsoft Dynamics CRM user exists with the specified domain name and user ID

Thanks for any help.

    Hello,

In order to add a new user to CRM you have to do following:

    1. Log in to CRM using the user you used to install CRM (it will have an access to CRM by default with admin privileges).

    2. Go Settings -> Security -> Users.

    3. Click "New User" -> in the window that pops up enter Domain name of the user -> some data from AD like First Name/Last Name and email should be populated from the AD. Click Save.

    4. Once user is saved - click "Manage Roles" at the top of the user's form and give user some role.

After that your new user should have possibility to log in.

Thanks for the fast and informative reply.

I see to add even more users, one still has to add users in Active Directory first.

    Thanks again for the help!
