Unable to query GP Payroll tables in SQL

Hi,

I am trying to query the employee master table from SQL. I do have read only permissions on the entire database, what I found is for any particular table belong to the Payroll module, it return no result. this is not the case with the other tables

Not sure what I am missing.

This is in GP 2013

    Hello Alaa, 

    I have never experienced such issues with the UPR tables, I have just tested that as well on my test machine granting a new user the DYNGRP role along with a "SELECT" permission on the UPR tables, it just works perfectly.

    In your case, this must retrieve data with the "sa" user , right !  Have you tried to create a new user just for testing purposes, grant it DYNGRP role along with a select permission and check what happens !

    Thanks Mahmoud, figured out!

    it is my bad, it turned out to be I was looking at the US payroll tables where I am using the Canadian payroll.

    for that there is different tables set.
