create method for a datasource field of a form extension

Hello everyone, I am migrating a code from AX2012 to d365FO, and I find that I have to pass a lookup method to the route

\Forms\VendTable\Data Sources\VendTable\Fields\MyField\Methods\lookup

The form is standard so I extended the form, the field is a custom field, but I can't (or don't know) how to add the method in Finance Operation.
I appreciate your help . Thank you

    Hi,

    You need to write an lookup event handler even if its a custom field in standard table.

    Refer to the below blog which explains about how to write lookup event handlers.
