MR 2012 Lists accounts as missing that do no even exist in GP

I was just working on a row definition and I ran the missing GL account routine to check for any missing accounts. It is listing six accounts that do not even exist in GP. Why would it do that? How could it do that? In our case with have a 3 segment GL and it only lists the main segment on the report so I cannot see the exact account number that is missing. I did notice that for these accounts not all segments exist for the main account. for example, on the report is 01-00-5037. There is no 00-00-5037 in GP. But it lists 5037 as missing. Is it trying to find a 00-00-5037?

Because Management Reporter 2012 is dimension based, and not account based like FRx was, I am going to say that this is working as designed.

The reason for this is that there is a segment created in Dynamics GP, and it falls within the range of accounts that are included in the report, so it is going to be considered as missing.  While 00-00-5037 is not an account, 00 is a segment and that segment(dimension) is missing.

Another possibility is that 00-00-5037 did exist at one point.  There is a record for it in the DDM and it is marked as not active.  We've recently seen where this inactive account is read by the missing account analysis.  To fix this, you could rebuild the DDM.  Doing that would not include the account in the DDM since it no longer exists in the GL.

Well then that explains it. The DataMart has been rebuilt. For only six accounts I am not going to worry about it. The reports come out all balanced. I just wanted to confirm my suspicions. Thank you.
