I think I don't see the wood for the trees

I want to open a txt file on a network folder and just show it (from inside AX). How can I manage it? (I don't want to read the data, just open it)

    Just make a call to the WinAPI::shellExecute function.

    WinAPI::shellExecute("tempfile.txt",'',"\\\\SERVER\\PATH");

    That should open the textfile in the standard program for text filer properly notepad

    I want to open  a file from EP AX 2012 , the following syntax works only from AX client. 

    winapi::shellExecute(path);
