Issue with TFS build

Hello,

I have a strange issue with TFS build and a customization on a specific class (AX 2012, R3).

We have changed the behaviour of a couple of methods in FiscalDocumentPost_BR and added a new one in the USR layer, moved the class to the build model (i.e.: FabbriModel), as we do for every other customization. The FiscalDocumentPost_BR.xpo seems to be properly stored as it appears in <tfs_base_dir>/FabbriModel/Classes along with every other customized class, with the code changes in place.

When the build is completed and deployed to other environments, the class appears to be in a different model (i.e.: Foundation), the two changed methods are in model "USR Model" with no changes applied (i.e. the customization is NOT present) while the new method is present in the correct model, FabbriModel.

By any chance, is this specific class not customizable?

Does anybody ever encountered this issue?

    Hi Martin,

    thank you for your answer, I guess you pointed me to the right direction.

    Turns out that, while I we only build FabbriModel, on the base there are many existing models, along with "USR Model", and everything is deployed to other environments. I guess that this was done by our consultants because we didn't start with TFS build but it was setup later, when customizations were already in place.

    The two methods with changes are customized even in the previously existing "USR Model", at the same layer (usr) than the changes in FabbriModel.

    Could it be that AX "ignores" the changes in FabbriModel because of this?

    PS: I can confirm that the AX applications are the same across all the environments.

    Which models do you build and deploy to the other environments? If you install FabbriModel only, doesn't it mean that changes in "USR Model" already existed in the other environments?

    What do you mean that the class is in a different model? Does it mean that you have FabbriModel, Foundation and "USR Model" in USR layer, or are you talking about a different layer? If standard layers different, it suggests that your DEV environment has a different version of AX application than the others.
