Hello,

I installed a seperate AOS to point to a new database (SQL2005). I created a new client shortcut to logon to the new instance and get the error in the subject line. This is the default set by the configuration utility...any ideas of what I am missing?

Hi

If You are using a reference to an .AXC file you are using the .AXC file from the service. You should use the .AXC from the Client instead.

You re-opened an 5-year-old thread - it shouldn't be surprising if Eric doesn't answer. If I was you, I would create a new thread - now you won't be able to mark it as answered, because it's not yours.

You'll have to tell us what exact version you're using and how you're starting the client.

Sorry Mr.Martin and Mr.Eril So.. I'm the one new to Microsoft Dynamics and indeed to develop a ax 2009 and 2012. Still i starting now and search for an solution to the error i had and find this thread similar to mine.but not understood what Erik answered.. If the solution is rectify my problem it will great for me....

You are using the configfile from the aos and not from the client

Do you have multiple AOS instance on you machine

are you using confing file to open your client.

Please provide more information about your scenario to help you
