Increase character length in GP word modified report

Hello can anyone explain how to increase the amount of characters in the word reports, I added more XX to it and made no difference, normally for report writer you can drag the space to make it bigger, but I cant figure it out for the word .

    I believe the Payment Terms ID column itself has a storage length of 20 so dragging it bigger won't display more detail.

    You'll need to export the XML of the modified report and then add it to the Word Template to get the modified data into Word Templates.

    thanks for your help, I'm under 20 characters, it should display 30 not 3
    I went into template maintenance and saved the word to my computer, at what point do I have the option to add space?  thanks

    If increasing the width was a modification in GP Report Writer, you'll then need to complete the steps of exporting the XML, importing it into your template, adding the modified column to the Word Template, and then using that new template for your users.  Steps are included in the Learning document link.
