I got error on Start Service - Management Reporter 2012 Services on my Local VM 10.0.39 update to 10.0.40.
The error said, MRUser cannot Login :
Message":"Login failed for user 'MRUser'.","
Login failed for user 'MRUser'. Reason: Password did not match that for the login provided. [CLIENT: <local machine>]
But for the MRUser, I already change the Password, copy from web.config on Webroot AOS and I can Log In with MRUser on SSMS.
What happened with my Management Reporter 2012 Services?
I had the same problem.
In my case the user (MRuser, AxDbAdmin, ...) was locked out (due to multiple invalid login attempts).
I retrieved the password from the Web.Config file, disabled this checkbox (Login is locked out) and restored the same password that I retrieved from the file (this is required).
It worked like a charm!
