Hello,

We recently upgraded to Dynamics 365 On-Premises 9 and we are getting an error about field size everytime we try and add a new product. This was never an issue before the upgrade.

When we try and add a new product we get the following pop up after we fill out the name field: "you have exceeded the maximum number of 100 characters in this field"

We have changed the field to 300 characters and still do cannot put more than 100 characters in the field.

If we try to save we get the following SQL error: "Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault, Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]]: Generic SQL error.Detail:"

Any help here would be great.

I have the same question (1)

    Hi partner,

I tested it in my environment and didn't encounter this problem.

    The version of my D365 is Version 1612 (9.0.2.3034) (DB 9.0.2.3034) on-premises.

I recommend that you raise a Microsoft support ticket to get professional and timely help.
