Consider a scenario where we need item I2 to manufacture item I1.
Let us say due to machine breakdown we had to reschedule the supplying production order for I2 forward in a time line as capacity is not available until machine is repaired and ready and that is after a week.
We had 'Schedule reference' and 'Synchronize reference' and 'Finite material' was checked while supplying order for I2 being rescheduled and we expected that production order for I1 where I2 is getting consumed should also move forward in timeline as it cannot be started unless and until I2 is available but order for I1 had no impact at all. This seems to be working fine when BOM line type is of pegged supply but not when planned orders are firmed with marking set to 'Standard' or 'Extended'. Is there any specific reason or a bug in standard?
Also I do not understand why system does not update the delivery date of the production order on rescheduling the order because then it is giving a wrong picture. Can someone explain this behavior?
Thanks in advance.
